The Council identified a need to provide Team Leaders with specific training, on matters ranging from problem solving to people management skills, to ensure they are confident in these areas and show recognition of increased talent, competence and flair.

Acorn offered to design a programme to provide a formal learning pathway for Supervisors and lower level Managers to achieve the Apprenticeship in Team Leading. Success would then be measured by Learners gaining the qualifications, improved staff retention rates and progression for further training courses.
