Acorn and Coleg Morgannwg are launching a new qualification course in September which will place the very best of Welsh students into leading businesses for two days per week over a period of two years.
The new Principal Lines of Learning Level 3 in Business Administration and Finance course, is the first of its kind in Wales and will be offered to a very small group of students aged 16 to 19.
We are now looking for employers who can offer a variety of work placements, giving students the chance to gain valuable work-related skills with a reputable, local employer.

What would be expected of the employer?
This two-year programme will be divided equally between work experience and study at Coleg Morgannwg. The student will spend two days per week working and two days studying; the remaining day will be for personal study.
What is covered in the qualification?
Principal Learning: the development of these qualifications with employers has been led by the Financial Skills Partnership (FSP) with support from the Council for Administration with an emphasis on practical activities.

Welsh Baccalaureate Qualification
The Welsh Baccalaureate (WBQ or Welsh Bacc) is a qualification available in schools and colleges across Wales for 14-19 year olds. The emphasis is on learning through doing, combining personal development skills with established courses / programmes.
