Providing an Apprenticeship vacancy  can be very rewarding as well as cost effective.  It gives your organisation a unique opportunity to develop and shape your Apprentice in the way that best fits your business; focusing on the skills which will add real value. By choosing a formal Apprenticeship both you and your Apprentice will benefit from the support throughout the Apprenticeship of an Acorn qualified training professional. The Apprentice will broaden their own skill base and gain a formal vocational qualification linked to their job role.

what are the criteria for employing an Apprentice?

An Apprentice would be:

• any age
• working five days per week in your company (maximum 40 hours)
• employed on an Apprenticeship  contract
• paid a minimum of £2.50 per hour (for at least the first year of their Apprenticeship, then, if applicable, receive an hourly rate of pay which is in line with the national minimum wage)
• allowed to complete an industry recognised qualification
